Painted fabrics have been cut, layered and secured with machine stitching to create the seascape and boats. The left hand side panel represents the weathered, peeling paint and rusty surfaces of the old boats using layers of painted strips of fabrics, nets and found objects.
Run Rabbit Run - Sold

The woodland has been made from tiny pieces of overlaid fabric that have been secured in place with fabric adhesive and machine embroidered. The rabbits were painted and detail added with free machine stitching on a net base.

Jack Rabbit is based on my son's house rabbit and shows him running through the cornfields in the countryside surrounding his home. Hand painted and sheer fabrics with net and lace have been cut and torn then secured with machine stitching.

This fabric panel has been made from heat transfer dyed and painted fabrics and was inspired by Monet's garden in Spring.
Cornfield

Hand dyed fabrics have been collaged and hand stitched to represent the colour and movement of the wheat sheaves in the cornfield. Thicker Threads have been worked in the foreground and changed to finer silk to give an illusion of depth in the composition.
The work has been mounted on a canvas stretcher.

Early Spring

This composition is made of collaged, hand painted fabrics that have been layered to represent the cool, fresh atmosphere of an early spring day. Raw edged appliqué gives softer edges to areas of the landscape and vegetation.
